Two dead in vic plane crash
A passenger plane crashed, killing at least six people on board as it made a takeoff from Melbourne Airport, police said.
The plane took off from Melbourne Airport at 7.28am (AEST), carrying about 180 passengers, about 30 flight attendants and 12 crew and passengers, ABC News reports.
The pilot was able to exit the cockpit, although he was severely shaken, the flight was later diverted to another airport in Adelaide.
Cops confirmed a passenger plane crashed, but did not say whether anyone died on board.
It is understood at least one of the deaths was on board as flight data recorder data was taken from the plane.
The crash happened in the Melbourne suburb of Melton after the plane hit a snowbank, then skidded into snow and collapsed at about 30,000ft (9,200m), a police spokeswoman said.
"One person from the Airbus A320-200 plane (was) killed in the crash," she said.
Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said the dead were all on board.
"Australia mourns the loss of a beautiful and intelligent woman, a flight attendant and a member of her crew - she will be deeply missed by all Australians," he tweeted.
A number of Australian air crash victims are still missing, but one body has been identified, Sydney's Nine Network reported, quoting a family member.

Stained glass church window blends catholic and aboriginal faith
(17 December 2013) The Church of St. Joseph in Fort St. Vincent is one of the oldest catholic churches in Halifax. It is part of the Catholic Diocese and part of the National Catholic Historical Museum of Nova Scotia, the only one of the six churches to be housed in the building and operated by the Diocese since 1837. The windows, which were installed in 2008, blend both the Catholic and Aboriginal religious traditions to create one very distinctive church view. Built in 1776 and built at the request of John Blois, who was not only the first Catholic Bishop of Halifax but also one of the province's earliest Christian leaders.
There is an image of Christ on the stained glass windows which was first hung in the 19th century
The church itself is a unique structure because it has been designed and built from scratch from the bottom up, yet has retained the original design that was given to the Episcopal Church when the cathedral was built in 1835. The design of the stained glass church windows was inspired by the Catholic Church's traditional red cross and has been enhanced with decorative paint and mosaics that bring to life the story of St. Joseph's journey through history. It was built in 1776, but originally St. Joseph had a red cross, and it was replaced with a painted cross in 1835, when John Blois became Bishop of Halifax. Today, the red church is surrounded by green terrace and trees. The interior was also designed in 1776, making it the oldest church of Halifax. However, only the stained glass windows were added in 2007, just under twenty years after their first installation. These windows have taken on the look and feel of a cross between the Catholic and the Aboriginal traditions of indigenous people, and the church is also one of the few churches to still be maintained by the diocese.

The Church of St. Joseph has the following distinctive features:
The church's stained glass windows are framed within the shape of an upside down crucifix, which was taken from a Roman cross.
A mural on the north side of the church features Aboriginal symbols for healing
Many Aboriginal symbols are in the church windows, including a stone head with a pomegranate leaves covering it; the tree trunk (which has red and gold leaves); the symbol of the cross in the north window; and a tree that represents the four tribes (the Red, Yellow
